October 2, 2024-Volunteer Orientation Today at 1:30-3:00 pm

September 2024-We want to give thanks and salute our dedicated volunteers, Karen and Dave Mirkovich for their tireless efforts as Chatham WWSD team members for three years. They have assisted with donations transport, processing and with distribution event preparation. Most recently Karen and Dave assisting in transporting inventory from Storage/Processing Center at 79° West to Siler City for the Sweater-A-Thon. In inclement weather they distributed sweaters and socks and provided translation. Karen and Dave are also long-time volunteers and tutors for Chatham Literacy. Karen is a retired teacher, and Dave is a retired Lt. Colonel, US Air Force and worked in safety/security acquisitions as a program manager for the US Navy. When asked what skills from their careers have been an asset in their volunteer work, each of them reported communication, organization, and scheduling/setup skills, as well as flexibility and the ability to prioritize. Thank you, Karen and Dave
